The SummerJazz Pinneberg is the annual festival of jazz and jazz-ish music in Pinneberg, close to Hamburg. Since 1996, on the second weekend of August, from Thursday to Sunday, 50 artists will play on 5 stages right in the heart of Pinneberg. And you can watch and listen, and stroll between the stages, all within walking distance. All concerts are open-air and admission free! We fund our festival through our sponsors, your donations, and the sales of our wonderful annual festival pin that has already become a much sought-after collectors’ item!
Fun and variety
Blues, Boogie, Modern Jazz or Funk – all things jazz (and the like) can
be enjoyed on our colourful festival.
We have stages of all sizes, 100 to 3.000 visitors
per concert. We have local, national and international artists, and every year
a new motto that our artists pick up for their performances.

Pinnewhat?
Pinneberg is located right to the north of Hamburg in Northern Germany.
You can arrive by train (the train station "Pinneberg", about 30 minutes from Hamburg's central station, is only a five minute walk from our festival area) or by car. There is parking area under the "Hochbrücke" bridge and several parking decks nearby. Please see our parking guide.
Attention: You may want to avoid the parking deck "Rathauspassage" as it has early closing hours!
All our stages are fully accessible by wheelchair.

Fellow musicians!
Every year until end of March we accept applications from bands and solo artists. If you play exciting music and would like to be on stage in our festival, please drop us a line and tell us about your music and your musician’s fee. We are a low-budget festival organized by volunteers, and can’t pay star fees, but we always conduct fair negotiations.

The contest
Every year we grant multiple awards to musicians in a contest. If you apply for our contest, we will pay a fee of max. EUR 600 (EUR 150 per musician), and you get the chance to win awards by our sponsors totalling up to EUR 2.500.
Contest or regular gig, we ask all participating artists to also play their own original compositions, and contribute to our annual motto!
